The kids aren’t the only ones having fun at the library this summer. Be sure to drop by the reference desk and sign up for our Adult Summer Reading Program! Not only do we have a fantastic program each week, but every time you finish a book, you can fill out an entry form to be entered into a weekly drawing for fabulous prizes.
No idea what to read this summer? Fear not! Ask a reference librarian for a recommendation, or check out one of these summer reading lists:
- Summer Books to Feed Your Literary Addiction – NPR
- Booksellers’ Selections for Summer Afternoons – NPR
- Fiction Picks for Your Mental Getaway – NPR

- …and don’t forget the recommended reading lists of our very own Book Goddess!
Without intending to, I have found myself simultaniously reading three very different books about being on the coast. I’m listening to Duma Key by Stephen King in my car, reading On Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan while I’m on a break at work, and I’m leafing through Cottages on the Coast: Fair Harbors and Secret Shores by Linda Leigh Paul at home.
If you’ve got any favorite summer reads, leave a comment or stop by the reference desk and let us know!
