Have a Super Summer!

School’s out! Let the summer fun begin! After a day at the beach, brush off the sand and bring your family to the West Palm Beach Public Library. Stock up on books for summer reading, movies for family fun, audio books for that summer vacation trip, and more. There is so much happening at the library, you and your family can keep busy all summer long.

Need some ideas to beat the heat? Make it simple. One of my favorite things to do on a hot day is to whip up some super cool smoothies. Would you like a sip of “Purple Mango” or “Pineapple Crush?” Invite some activity with a little waffle art. Add some sliced fruit and learning shapes and patterns never tasted so yummy (Don’t forget the ice cream on top!) FamilyFun magazine’s Cooking with Kids cookbook has these recipes plus many more for little hands to help create.

From picnics to pool parties, the West Palm Beach Public Library has great resources to make family time fun time. Kid friendly cook books, music CDs and craft ideas involve everyone in planning specials ways to make special days under our South Florida sunshine.
